Child safety – Little Wishes has an established Exceeding Approach to Child Safety, starting with the child and families at the centre, supported by our three ‘environments’ of Operations & Systems, intentional Building environment and our People lead culture.
With our regulatory requirements as a backbone, we enhance it through strong recruitment, induction and professional development. We invest long term in our people and do not use agency staff. Our systems include Policies, Risk Assessments, mandatory reporting, and we run a genuine open-door policy, supported by Whistleblower Protections.
Our two services are intentionally modern, open plan design with active supervision plans for our learning environments, with extensive CCTV systems acting as a deterrent, and supports training and for reporting purposes.
All our team are empowered to speak up and are mandatory reporters. The children are empowered through appropriate education and the enjoy the Bravehearts Keep Safe Aventure Program with ‘Ditto’.
